Hemp seed oil at 80% has the highest percentage of essential fatty acids found in plants.  It has the ideal ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 and it's structure closely resembles the skin's own lipids.  Hemp so closely matches our own skin's oils that it is able to penetrate inside our cells and lubricate the surfaces between them, thus bringing the EFA's within our body.  Hemp seed oil also contains GLA, amino acids, potassioum, calcium, vitamin E, and is rich in Omega 9, helping to keep skin supple. Hemp seed oil contains ingredients that gives it unique anti-inflammatory properties that are not often found in other oils. Researchers from ETH Zurich and Bonn University have now established anti-inflammatory constituents in hemp oil.  All of these amazing qualities make hemp oil the ideal base for a nourishing moisturiser.

Olive oil was used by the Ancient Egyptian civilization and it is still widely used today for it's amazing properties. There are a variety of antioxidants in olive oil including Vitamin A and E but the most potent compound is hydroxytyrosol. Hydroxytyrosol is a very rare but potent antioxidant found in olive oil that helps to prevent free radical damage to skin cells, and as has potent anti~inflammatory properties.

Avocado Oil is a mild, nourishing, semi-fatty Oil, rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, panthothenic acid, potassium, vitamin D, E, protein, lecithin and fatty acids, which have healing and regenerating qualities. Great for more mature skin, the oil is easily absorbed into the deep tissues of the skin. The sterols within the oil have been shown to be effective as an ingredient for sun screen lotion. Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, D and E, all of which help maintain healthy skin.

Coconut oil contains mostly Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) or Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA). These extraordinary fat molecules are the main reason why coconut oil is so amazing.  MCFAs such as Caprylic acid (C-8), Capric acid (C-10), and Lauric acid (C-12) destroy microorganisms; bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites and yeast. Coconut oil is nature's richest source of MCFAs. Fortifying your skin with anti~microbial MCFAs is one of the most effortless ways to guard against infection.

Jojoba esters are proper waxes; there is no triglyceride component of jojoba esters. Chemically, jojoba esters are a complex mixture of long chain (C36-C46) fatty acids and fatty alcohols joined by an ester bond. Jojoba wax closely resembles sebum, your skin's own oil, making it very readily absorbed. Native Americans have been using jojoba for skin treatment for centuries for its skin~enhancing benefits. These benefits include: softening, a reducer of wrinkles, helpful for healing scars and stretch marks. Jojoba's outstanding moisturizing properties are thanks to its emollient features and resemblance to your skin's own oils. It also suppresses water loss, and helps keep your skin soft and supple.

Almond wax is an excellent emollient and moisturizer.  As an emollient it nourishes and softens the skin helping to keep it smooth to the touch.  Almond wax is similar in composition to the oil baby's excrete to keep their skin and hair healthy.  By helping the skin stay healthy it promotes a youthful skin complexion. Almond oil can also be used  on the delicate skin under the eye to help prevent "crow's feet".
