    The ancient Sanskrit term for Centella asiatica is Brahmi, which means “knowledge.” Native to India and the tropical islands of the Indian Ocean, it also grows in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, East Africa, and South Africa and is utilized by the pharmaceutical industry for its concentration of healing triterpenoid compounds.

    Gotu Kola stimulates the synthesis of the collagen and has a general regenerative effect on the tissues. The extract is used in for healing of tissue and circulatory and venous problems. It shows dramatic results in wound healing of broken tissue, burns, and reducing the formation of scar tissue. It also helps prevent and reduce cellulite. It has been shown to strengthen veins and capillaries and improve the flow of blood.
